Esmé Barratt

Esmé Barratt was born in Adelaide, South Australia and grew up watching The Goodies, Doctor Who and Monkey; and reading Douglas Adams (repeatedly).  Despite this delinquent childhood, she grew into a fairly rational adult, working in state welfare for over a decade before leaving to set up the Hills Volunteer Resource Centre.

She now lives in the idyllic Adelaide Hills with her devoted husband (who just wants a best seller so he can have a Ferrari); her loving son (who just wants a best seller so he can finally get a monkey-butler); her wonderful daughter (who just wants a best seller turned into a movie so she can star in it); and her small, fat, fluffy dog (who just wants a beast cellar to call his own).

Esmé just likes to write.
